Mrs Belinda Marflitt

Revd Belinda Marflitt

Category of Governor

Community Governor

Year Appointed

Oct 2013

Professional Background

I entered nursing from a secondary school background but later as a ward sister I realised the importance of continuing education and achieved an honours degree in nursing studies from Brighton University. After many years in the health service I felt a calling to Ordained Ministry and was subsequently ordained at Salisbury Cathedral in 2013, before taking on the role of curate at Wimborne Minster.

Motivation for Becoming a Governor

I feel teaching staff today face innumerable challenges in providing our children with a good rounded education, one that ensures that each child achieves his or her full potential. Challenges that come from not only budgetary constraints, but also from a curriculum and an assessment process that is constantly changing. I feel the role of a governor is to support and to encourage the teaching staff in these challenging times.
