Mr Plummer
Mr Plummer is our Chair of Governors.
Category of Governor: |
Co-opted |
Year Appointed: |
2014 |
Professional Background: |
Born in Poole, I have lived locally all my life. After finishing “A” Level, I started working for a large financial institution locally and then went back to university part time to gain my degree, professional qualifications and finally to obtain a post-graduate qualification in Law. Although I only started working to earn money for university, I am still with the same company 28 years on, and I am now responsible for various legal, tax and regulatory aspects of the business.

Motivation for Becoming a Governor: |
I love learning….anything!! This coupled to being married to a nursery professional and having in-laws who are teachers or lecturers, just added to my desire to give something back to education. When our family grew and our two boys arrived on the scene, I wanted to help in any way I could. I honestly believe that local people, working together to improve things for the children of Wimborne, can really make a difference. Although my boys are now further along the educational lifecycle, I believe getting the foundation right is the key to future success.
