Co-opted Governor |
Year Appointed: |
2016, Re-appointed 2021 |
Professional Background: |
Following my graduation from Aberdeen University I worked in London for a number of years for a commodity trader performing a role in logistics and imports. I then worked in a logistics role for a well-known bulky goods retailer. In 2006 I moved to Wimborne with my husband and worked for an aerospace and naval support company based in Bournemouth. With the arrival of my two boys in 2008 and 2010, I have continued to work part time, as a book keeper but also spend time volunteering at Wimborne First School and a local toddler group. |
Motivation for Becoming a Governor: |
I really value the education that my children are receiving at Wimborne First School and admire the hard work and dedication that the teachers and support staff show on a daily basis. As a parent who regularly helps in school, I felt I could bring a different perspective to the Governing Body and could help with the schools administrative and strategic decisions to ensure the continued success of the asset which is Wimborne First School. |
